House Cleaning

A customizable range of tasks we offer clients booking LUX House Cleaning Services.

Standard Clean

The Standard Clean is a once-over of the home. It is focused on surfaces and typically includes the bathrooms & kitchen, wiping, dusting, vacuuming & mopping of floors, and tidying. This clean is refreshing. Detailed cleaning must be booked in addition to this service or as a stand alone service. The Standard Clean is available to be booked as a partial or full clean, and can be scheduled alongside Housekeeping, House Management, Organization and Decluttering, and Seasonal Home Services.

Partial Clean

Partial Cleans focus on select areas and details chosen by the client and offer space to add depth as needed. Generally clients choose items from the Specialized Cleaning Services list to complete during a Partial Clean.

Detailed Clean

Detailed Cleans operate in the same framework as a Standard Clean, with more attention to detail. Booking a Detailed Clean gives us time to get into areas of the home that require more attention or to be potentially blocked out as a specific project. Please see the Specialized Cleaning Services for more details.

Move-in & Move-out Clean

Move-in & Move-out Clean is a top-to-bottom service of a vacant space. This includes inside and out of all cupboards & appliances, removal of scuffs, interior windows and glass as well as items from our Specialized Cleaning Services on an as-needed basis, communicated by the client. We are also happy to support with packing and unpacking boxes.

Seasonal Homes: Opening & Closing Clean

LUX offers Seasonal Home Opening & Closing Clean to clients looking for their seasonal or holiday home(s) to be ready upon arrival, and wrapped up after their departure. Please see our Seasonal Homes section for more information.

Organization & Decluttering

LUX Organization & Decluttering Services are deeply supportive and completely customizable to each client for every season of life.

Home Purchase and Sale

Decluttering and downsizing current belongings, organizing and refining to ensure a smooth transition into the new home. This is also available to those helping a senior family member move into assisted living.

Bereavement Support

Assisting clients at their pace while they move through the belongings and grief while traversing the loss of a loved one.

Overhaul and Refresh

Full overhaul of household belongings and cupboards, general organizing, downsizing and consolidating, removal of items to donate. House Cleaning, Detailed Clean and Specialized Services are available to add in here.

Creating & Integrating Storage Solutions

LUX works with the client to choose and create storage solutions which support them in their life and how they move through their home

Home Management

Home Management is a service offering of high level, customizable oversight on household needs, structure and support.

LUX works closely with clients to create Home Management Systems for their home.

— household purchase allowance tracking and management

— inventory tracking & restocking

— seasonal preparation, turnover, maintenance scheduling and management

— customized household logs (maintenance, systems, appliances etc.)

— sourcing and collaboration with external vendors for large scale household projects and upgrades

— management of home during client holidays and vacation

— handling of personal and household orders - tracking, returns, pick up and drop-off

— option to include more personal holding and management such as dry-cleaning, appointment scheduling, car maintenance scheduling, pick up & drop off, pet care and more.

Specialized Cleaning Services

This section describes the services offered by LUX as Specialized Cleaning Services, requiring more time and precision.

Appliances

Kitchens, coffee bars, BBQ, laundry rooms, pool houses & guest cottages - cleaning of any appliance interiors and exteriors, wiping down and polishing.

Mirrors and Interior Glass

Cleaning and polishing as need - mirrors, windows, picture frames, glass doors and more

(Note: LUX does not offer exterior window washing services or service interior glass of a substantial height)

Dusting

For clients who want hard to reach places dusted, or require many items moved, wiped down and returned to previous placement

Cabinet and Cupboards Refresh

This services includes removal of items from cupboards, followed by a wipe down of the interior and exterior. Cupboards could include linens, back-stock inventory storage, kitchen cupboards or bathrooms. The option to add Organization and Decluttering Services is available here.

Wood Polishing

Wood Polishing provides a wipe down and standard polish of furniture using wood polishing products

(Note: LUX does not offer wood floor polishing services. LUX House Management Services provide clients with the opportunity to have vendor sourcing, hiring, scheduling and management of onsite vendors handled. Please reach out for more details).

Steam Cleaning

Steam cleaning of all compatible surfaces, appliances and items is available. This is a great option for those looking for sanitization.

Carpet Cleaning

Standard Carpet Cleaning services are available.

Stain Removal

Standard Stain Removal services are available.

Scum Removal

Scum removal is a service that keeps the house feeling fresh. High traffic areas like showers with glass and kitchen sinks can be booked for this service as often as needed.

Grout Cleaning

A full scrub down of grout and tiles such as showers and tile floors

Full Laundry Service

LUX offers a full laundry services which includes washing, folding, drying, hang drying, ironing, steaming, stain removal as well as handling drop-off and and pick-up of dry cleaning

Power Washing

Standard power washing services are available.

Car Interior

Standard cleaning and detailing of all surfacesinside the vehicle

(Note: LUX does not offer any exterior car cleaning or detailing services)

Vent Cleaning

Vent cleaning can be booked as needed or seasonally. External heat and air vents, bathroom fans and free standing fans are all included.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping is a reset and refresh of the space.

It can be scheduled as a stand-alone, ongoing service, or combined with House Cleaning, Detailed Cleaning, Organization & Decluttering, and House Management. Housekeeping provides clients general support and can be booked for any length of time - repeating daily and weekly, prior to events, and so on.

Some Housekeeping tasks are similar to those listed under House Cleaning, however these are separate offerings, with varied depths of service

Examples of Housekeeping tasks:

Light dusting
Spot cleaning (cabinets, walls, tables, doorframes and light switches)
Resetting rooms (tidying up, straightening items on display, fluffing pillows, folding blankets)
Kitchen refresh (dishwashing, wiping counters, organize fridge, spot cleaning)
Making beds & changing linens
Laundry Services (washing, folding, drying, hang drying, ironing, steaming & stain removal)
Plant care (watering, repotting, fertilizing)
Refill and restock cupboards & storage from back stock inventory
